My mother, 90 years plus, lived at Evergreen for two years and  three months. My mom, a former nurse and Public Health Professor liked living there and liked the staff. As her son, I found the staff caring, easy to communicate with and appreciated their sense of humor. My mom lived here for about 9 months until early this year. I really appreciated the caregivers Mary and Saida who took really good care of my mom and were very organized, knowledgeable and experienced. I cannot say enough good things about the quality of care that my mother received at Evergreen Park Adult Family Home Greenlake. My first impressions when I visited were very good. The residents were well groomed, the home-cooked food looked good, and the house is attractive. Evergreen Park is well organized about ordering medications, coordinating with medical providers, and communicating with families. My mother’s primary caregiver was extraordinary. I will forever be grateful for the care Saida took of my mother, particularly in the last weeks of her life. The other caregivers were excellent as well. Everyone is welcoming to visiting family members. I appreciated the fact that the owner of Evergreen Park AFH always knew the details of my mother’s changing medications, as well as how my mother was responding to them. Based on this experience I now believe that an excellent adult family home is the best environment for someone with dementia.
